Rule of St. Benedict 27:8-9

“He is to imitate the loving example of the Good Shepherd who left the ninety-nine sheep in the mountains and went in search of the one sheep that had strayed. So great was his compassion of its weakness that he mercifully placed it on his sacred shoulders and so carried it back to the flock (Luke 15:5).”

Question for Meditation: How can you imitate the Good Shepherd?

1 John 4:20-21 — May 2, 2019

1 John 4:20-21

“If anyone says, ‘I love God,’ but hates his brother, he is a liar; for whoever does not love a brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. This is the commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.”

Question for Meditation: Which brother or sister do you need to love like God loves?
